How to use Rotate PDF: a step-by-step guide
Rotate all pages or only the ones you select.
Open the free tool, follow the steps and download your result. No sign-up required.
Before you start
- One PDF within the 25 MB free-plan limit.
- The direction you need: 90, 180 or 270 degrees clockwise.
- An optional page list such as 1,3-5; leave it empty to rotate every page.
Step by step
- Upload the PDF with the wrong orientation.
- Choose 90° right, 90° left or 180°.
- Leave Pages empty to rotate everything, or list only the sideways pages.
Common mistakes
- Rotating an entire document when only one page is sideways.
- Applying the same rotation twice because the preview only changes after processing.
After you download
Download the rotated file and check the reading direction in a PDF viewer. Keep the original until you have confirmed that every page is correct.
Questions and answers
Can different pages be rotated differently?
Run the tool twice: once with the page list for one direction, then again for the pages that need the other direction.
Will this fix a crooked scan?
It fixes orientation. If the scan is also skewed, deskew it in an image editor or rescan it with the document feeder aligned.
Does rotating change the file size?
Barely — only the page descriptions are rewritten.
